Our peptides are produced using lyophilization (freeze-drying), a process in which the material is frozen and placed under low pressure so the ice sublimates directly into vapor. This leaves a stable, crystalline powder that can remain intact for 3–4 months during shipping and, in many cases, for several weeks at room temperature. The lyophilized powder can be kept at room temperature until you are ready to reconstitute it with bacteriostatic water. Once reconstituted, peptides must be stored in the refrigerator and will remain stable for 30 days or longer.
Upon receiving peptides, keep them cold and protected from light. For short-term use (days to a few months), refrigeration below 4°C (39°F) is generally sufficient. Although lyophilized peptides tolerate room-temperature storage for short periods, cooler storage is preferred if they will not be used soon.
For long-term storage lasting several months to years, freezing at –80°C (–112°F) is recommended to best preserve peptide stability. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as frost-free freezers, which undergo temperature fluctuations that can accelerate degradation.
